My french teacher in high school, Mademoiselle Rooney, used to remind me of a white-butterfly (blanc-papillon). She was simple, gentle, and a woman of discipline...WHAT AN EXEMPLARY TEACHER! Merci beaucoup, Mademoiselle! {When she speaks, her words are wise, and she gives instructions with kindness~ Proverbs 31:26}

letter to mia nicole for her first birthday
A few hours ago we celebrated the first birthday of Mia Nicole. The gathering was grand because JESUS was magnified throughout the whole presentation. From the praise and worship songs all the way towards the bible exhortation. The children had a special number. Mickaella, Mia Nicole's older sister, was singing and dancing away with the other kids. And there was a drummer that was playing along also... a 5 year old lil boy. They were all so cute and so good in their love offering to the LORD. I praise the LORD that i was able to attend this gathering. I almost didn't because of work. I only found out late afternoon on Thursday (the day before the birthday celebration) that i have enough paid time off available to use. My boss from work agreed for me to be off under those terms. It was something that he had to enforce to all his staff. In the opening prayer of the birthday celebration the pastor mentioned GOD AS THE JEHOVAH JIREH (GOD AS THE PROVIDER) and i thought to myself, i would not be here right now if GOD did not provide me those paid time off to cover my time to be off to attend the party. Oh, LORD, thank you for being so personal. Towards the end of the gathering, Michelle, Mia Nicole's mom, requested if i could write a letter to Mia Nicole to let her know that i am praying for her salvation (come to faith in Christ) when she's old enough to understand the meaning of accepting Jesus in her heart. After hearing what Michelle said, i thought, wow, that's different... and very special. My immediate response was yes! And in my mind, wow... not only i am privilege to be chosen as a godmother to her daughter i now have this wonderful opportunity to write to a 1 year old lil girl and at the same time pray to GOD that she will become a christian when she grows up. The only thing i can say now is...my heart is filled with joy. Thank you, LORD. Your timing is always so perfect!
